Children are our future, they are very impressionable, they have great faith, and we are exhorted in the Word to train them up in the ways of the Lord. We believe our Sunday School stands alongside theparents to support them and reinforce that training.
Our prayer time with the children is designed to reach to the Lord for external needs and internal growth.
And finally, we want to provide a fun, safe, and uplifting environment for our children to develop relationships with each other.
“Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” – Matt. 19:14
Nursery is provided during the entire Sunday morning worship service for infants and toddlers.
There is also a private room for nursing mothers and a quiet room for sleepers.
Toddlers are moved from Nursery into Sunday School at age 3 if they are ready to transition.
Sunday School meets during Sunday morning service. Children are dismissed to their classrooms after praise and worship.
We at River of God Church believe that children are a valuable and vital part of the body of Christ. Our Sunday School ministry includes worship, teaching, exhortation, prayer, and fellowship. We want our children to learn how to express their love for God in worship.
Our desire through teaching is to instill in our children a foundational understanding of God’s character and His plan for their lives as revealed through the Word of God. Exhortation through the godly relationship between the teachers and their students provides another avenue for the Holy Spirit to grow them up.
